Blue Star Highway Clean-up Project

In July the Borough Council undertook a clean-up project organized by Council Vice President Bob Hitchcock. Council members and a fellow volunteer worked at the Blue Star Highway memorial sign at Rte 22 and North Drive. Litter was picked up; weeds pulled; brush and overgrown shrubs pruned; and new flowers were planted. Participants included: Council V.P. Bob Hitchcock, Councilmen Doug Singleterry and Larry LaRonde, Councilwoman Mary Forbes and her husband Alex and Council President Skip Stabile. Flowers were donated by Ballas Florist.

If any individuals, businesses or organizations wish to participate in any event like this in the future, or if they wish to similarly clean up or 'adopt' any borough monument, please contact Skip Stabile at (908) 377-5788.
