Chief William G. Parenti announced that on June 6th the North Plainfield Police are mandating all taxicabs licensed in the Borough submit their vehicles for inspection.  New Jersey Motor Vehicle inspectors will partner will North Plainfield police traffic safety officers in an effort to ensure all taxicabs are safe and in compliance with state laws.  The inspections will take place in the municipal parking lot located at Somerset St. and Race St.
