December 4, 2013

Chief William Parenti along with PBA President Dan Conceicao are proud to announce the unions gift giving program.  With the Christmas and holiday season upon us, the North Plainfield Patrolman’s Benevolent Association, Local 85, conducted it annual toy drive.  This year the program was adjusted and fine-tuned to assist several local families in the community.  The PBA selected local families in in an effort to provide gifts that may bring happiness and good cheer to those in need.  PBA President Conceicao said:  “this is a small way we (the PBA) can connect with local families and assist with the children’s wish list”.

Officer Tim Boykoff orchestrated the drive this year as he has done in years past.  He received significant help from North Plainfield Parking Enforcement Dana Biggs, and Police Clerk Hope Villacreses. Chief Parenti acknowledged the enthusiastic support with “what started as a Union project has expanded to include other members of the North Plainfield Police Department family.  They are supporting the community we proudly serve”.
