County Clerk's Office Celebrates "Passport Day"

SOMERVILLE - The Somerset County Clerk's Office, located in the county Administration Building at 20 Grove St., is celebrating “Passport Day in the USA,” a national passport acceptance and outreach program. 

Residents who wish to submit a completed passport application can visit the Somerset County Clerk’s Office on Saturday, March 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Information about passports and documentation requirements can be found on the County Clerk’s website at http://www.co.somerset.nj.us/clerk/passport.htm.  The page includes links to online application forms.

U.S. citizens must present a valid passport book when entering or re-entering the United States by air.  U.S. citizens entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda at land borders and sea ports of entry must present a passport book, passport card, or other travel documents approved by the U.S. government.

The Somerset County Clerk's Office administers oath to notaries public, processes passport applications and records land records and related legal documents that deal with land situated in Somerset County.
