Chief William Parenti announced that on Monday November 16, 2015 at 3:41 PM the North Plainfield Police, North Plainfield Fire Dept. EMS, Paramedics and Northstar MedviVac responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Westervelt Ave. and Grandview Ave.


Preliminary investigation reveals that a Hyundai operated by a nineteen year old Sean Sanders a Plainfield resident was traveling west on Grandview Ave. when it failed to stop at the intersection of Westervelt Ave. and struck a Mazda which was operated by Gloria Morales a forty four year old North Plainfield resident which was traveling south on Westervelt Ave.  During the accident a seven year old child was ejected from the vehicle.

North Plainfield Fire Department EMS transported the Forty four year old driver to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital Somerset and NJSP Northstar  Medivac transported the child to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick.

The accident is under investigation by the North Plainfield Police Traffic Safety Unit and the Somerset County C.A.R.T.
